When people talk Connecticut high school sports, usually they label North Haven a “baseball town” because of the four State Championships and 800-plus wins Coach DeMayo has earned over five decades here. But in recent years, North Haven High School (NHHS) football has been making a name for itself, challenging mainstays for Shoreline dominance.

North Haven Youth Football sixth graders are perfect champions

 North Haven Youth Football sent three teams through to Shoreline league playoff finals, where each faced tough opponents from Madison last weekend. Ultimately, only the sixth-grade Indians won, capping off a perfect season with a championship trophy.

Playoff berth in arm's reach for NHHS football

North Haven High School's varsity football team inched closer to a state playoff berth last Friday with their biggest blowout win of the season, a 54-6 romp over Lyman Hall at Fitzgerald Field in Wallingford.

Once again, North Haven established their dominating run game from the very beginning.

With scoring barrage, NHHS football captures division title

North Haven High School varsity football played their last regular season home game of the year on senior night and defeated the Foran Lions to continue their quest for a second consecutive trip to the state playoffs. Because of the immense amount talent in the State's Class L Division, the Indans would have to win their last two games and get some help to qualify.

North Haven football bests Branford 21-6

With a 21-6, home-field victory over Branford on Sept. 30, North Haven High School (NHHS) varsity football improved to 3-0.

Sophomore Indian Christian Black ran for a nine-yard touchdown around the left end in the first quarter and senior Jake Scafariello kicked the point after to give North Haven a 7-0 lead on Branford.
