As state investigations into the North Haven building department continue, concerns have included an independent investigation, whether building department documents are secure and over $10,000 of undercharged and expired permits for 320 Middletown Ave.

The North Haven eighth grade team played two games this past week and won them both to grab the fourth and final position in this year's SYFC Championship playoffs. They will face Madison this weekend in the semi finals.

Beginning Oct. 1, North Haven will switch to single-stream recycling, according to a Sept. 24 Town Hall press release.

In the upcoming weeks, the North Haven Fire Department will be visiting every double and single family home in town to check and replace faulty smoke detectors, free of charge.
