Holiday bazaar ignites creativity, dedication and friendship for seniors and community

Joyce C. Budrow Senior Center staff and patrons recently hosted their annual holiday bazaar. The center was filled with several tables displaying handmade knitted items, handmade crafts and ceramics, baked goods, raffle-themed baskets, Granny’s Attic (a White Elephant table), music, food, fun, laughter and good company.

In a bright, cheery, newly renovated dining room at the Joyce C. Budrow Senior Center, a large group of seniors recently enjoyed a delicious pizza party that served as a welcome back celebration to their newly renovated senior center on Pool Road.

North Haven Senior Center Re-opened

The $755,000 renovation included new lighting, wallpaper, doors, floors, and bathrooms, as well as the 875 square foot addition, including an enlarged main room and a new pool table room and a crafts room. The old adages "there is no such thing as a free lunch" and "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" were the rallying cries during a "Protect Yourself from Identity Theft" workshop at the Joyce Budrow Senior Center March 11.
