Music under the Stars, North Haven’s free summer concert series, will continue Tuesday, July 27, at 7 p.m. on Town Green with Parrot Beach, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band.

The five-piece group draws from Buffet’s canon, while adding their own twist on the island singer’s songs. According to Parrot Beach’s website, even non-Buffet fans will enjoy their particular style.

Additionally, Parrot Bay will perform lesser-known Buffet numbers, selections potentially unknown to passing fans of the singer and his Coral Reefer Band.

Music Under the Stars is presented by the Department of Community Services, in conjunction with the North Haven business community. All concerts are scheduled for Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on the Town Green unless noted otherwise. Parking is available at the Town Hall Annex and Town Pool lots.

Attendees should assume all concerts are on the Green regardless of weather. Those concerned about the weather can contact the Recreational Center info-line at (203) 234-2535 after 5 p.m. If the recording under “Special Events/Trips” states no cancellations or changes, then the concert can be assumed to be on the Green.

The info-line will provide information if the concert is moved to North Haven High School. There is limited seating at the school, which will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Food and beverages (including water) will not be allowed in the school.
